June has arrived!

"What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade."
- Gertrude Jekyll, On Gardening

June has brought rain ! Badly needed rain.
Sure the neighbours were scratching their heads in amazement at the crazy lady under the bright hot sun doing a rain dance.

But it worked! 2 and a half  days of rain .
The garden from the perennials to the grass to the trees have all perked up, thankful for an all day rain..
Even had a brief down pour first thing this morning , giving another good soak....
Sun and bright blue sky with a sprinkle of fluffy white clouds now..
With June comes roses.

Graham Thomas English rose is showing off with the first blossoms.

Can you see the bird bath behind full of water? Robins love splashing   away in it.

Hi Rosemary! Popping over from Bloomin' Tuesday. I know what you mean by loving much-needed rain! Another advantage to rain...it's rest day when I can sew inside instead of pulling weeds outside. :) You need a break every now and then!

Your rose is beautiful. Love that color!

Hi Rosemary,

Your Graham Thomas English rose is gorgeous! I love the apricot shade and it looks so nice next to your birdbath. Enjoy the much needed rain and all that summer has to offer.
