Sunday we got busy, Brittany followed the recipe on Tenderflake Lard box ending up with 6 single pie crusts made. We used a combo of all purpose flour and whole wheat flour.
Brittany wanted to make tart type desserts.
Decided to try a cute idea een on Stone Gable blog using jam jars instead of tart tins
First, Brittany made peach tarts using small local peaches , the beginning of peach season here. These peaches were so sweet all was needed a minimal of sugar and some minut tapioca....
In canning jar ready to bake.
and lemon pie tarts.
The lemon pie filling was made from scratch .. We used some ramakins for the lemon tarts..
While Brittany was busy baking I made 2 salads ,
Rustic potato salad using yellow flesh baby potatoes and green beans in a red wine vinegar vinaigrette,
Pasta salad with lemon vinaigrette.
There is a printable recipe for the potato salad if you click on this link. Thanks to Yvonne at Stone Gable for the tutorial.
Finished peach tarts and lemon tarts...
Tested all and they are yummy.

You had a busy, busy baking day. What a great idea to use those little jars to bake in, just the perfect single size serving. Enjoy eating it all.
Making some really nice recipes and memories together. Enjoy your efforts! xo,
Great job Brittany! Your Jar Tarts look so good. She is just adorable, Rosemary. You have made some wonderful memories with her that both of you will treasure. Thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and hope to see you again real soon. Hope you are having a great week!

Brittany! I am so proud of you! Your pie-in-a jar looks delightfully wonderful. Great job! It took me 9 years to learn how to make pie crust. You are well on your way to mastering the art of culinary cooking!!! I also have a serious crush on those little lemon pies too!
And Rosemary I am thrilled to see that the printable recipes worked for you!
Thanks for being a sweet part of ON THE MENU MONDAY!
Yvonne
Great job Brittany! All looks delicious!
Everything was delicious! So nice to come home to dinner! Thanks!
Please do tell how you've made the printable recipes. This might just become my salvation in keeping my blog on blogger.
It has become a great frustration of mine to get recipes sufficiently posted on blogger.
