What to do when it is still raining?

Yes, it is still raining here. Grey and dark. More like November than October.
So my girlfriend Carol and I did what women love to do.
We went out for the day and had a little retail therapy.
A very successful shopping trip for us both. One of those rare days when one finds exactly what one was looking for.
For me a white blouse, short frilly black sweater(sounds weird I know), camel v neck fine knit sweater. A long silver chain with large pearls and stones , tres trendy.
Big splurge new for 2010 ,Gucci Guilty perfume... it contains the notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber and patchouli, slightly oriental in tone. For Red Hats this month we are having a Witchy pot luck .I had thought what would be fantastic is a red witches hat never thinking I would find one, probably have to make it . Well there in Dollarama ,a red one with black lace which drapes over the brim in a spider web pattern ,was one! Could not believe it, of course I snatched it up.Carol spotted long red gloves, quickly added those to the cart.Rosanne my daughter has a cape with a spider web pattern on it so I am well on the way to my Red Hat witchy costume. So far the big expense of 3.50!
Carol found a brown and black vest, purple sweater, new red leather wallet with tons of room for all the credit, etc cards one has to carry anymore, plus some trendy black jeans . She also spoiled her husband finding a Nautica housecoat and camel cardigan all at the Bay.
Bonus it was seniors days so extra off!
What a nice day some laughs ,some bargains.
Rainy day time well spent.

Sounds like a great day! We're getting some rain here and it's soooo nice to have.
I had both the children (plus boyfriend) over for dinner last night. It's rare that we can all manage to see each other at the same time.
