I see the future!

Green, green,GRASS!
is in my future!
Finally the builder has started laying sod in the backyards..... half of the properties have been done this week .. Our area is scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday.The dusty brown will change to luxuriant green...In preparation of that momentous day DH and I have gotten topsoil in and roughly shaped gardens around the patio.
Side patio off patio doors;

Corner garden with red leaved cannas pre started in Folgers cans ready for planting;
Side garden, rhubarb in brown pot looking for its permanent home, the white pots hold apple trees DH started from seed;
View from east side;
Yes, indeed I see the future, next garden centers and planting ;

that is fantastic! hurray for grass!

now i must share this story with you as it has to do with new build homes and grass.

I was driving through a new sub-division that had not been sodded yet. I came across one house that had a tiny little 2ft x 2ft square of grass sod on it's front lawn (read pile of dirt) anyway on this little 'lawn' was a sign. it read...stay off the grass. I almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard! Turns out, the sub-division had been waiting for over a year for their lawns!

congrats on brand new grass!
