My Daughter Rosanne invited me out for lunch to celebrate my retirement.
We decided to find a spot half way between our homes. Rosanne did an Internet search and found a delightful spot in Waterford, Belworth House.
This is a lovely old home an a pretty tree lined street.
We were seated at a bay window table with hydrangeas decorating the table.
For lunch we split a Caesar salad somewhat unusual with pickled onions in it , but absolutely delicious.
We both chose the roasted tomato soup with rustic grilled cheese and apple sandwich, another hit.
The organic bread is made in Vittoria by 2 gentlemen who have just gone into business and who deliver the bread as needed. For dessert Rosanne chose Blueberry cobbler topped with blueberry yogurt and I picked creme brulee.
The presentation on all the dishes was beautiful. For a place neither of us knew anything about it was a big success.
We chatted leisurely for 2 and 1/2 hours, had a delightful time.
