it was a bright sunny day when we started out ...... rained later in the afternoon.....still we managed to take in Hamilton's Mum show at Gage Park...... |This Chrysanthemum show started in 1920 and each year has a theme , this year fire!
Welcoming walkway |
A salute to firemen.
With Volunteer firemen in the family certainly could not miss this show.
See the hose pouring water onto the bright red fire... |
Helmets almost hidden in the mums
Fire Mountain
Even a firebreathing dragon. |
Mt Shasta is this big white pompom.Always a show stopper.
Lovely bicolour |
Mauve, ruby red , pink, purple and white combos |
Isn't this an amazing colour this is a single stem mum with many flowers at the top I believe it is called a drumstick mum |
Who wouldn't want to cozy up in this spot...
carpet of mums too! |
Wonder if I can add some of these beauties to my tiny garden...........Yummmmm..

Oh Rosemary, this is my idea of a play date!! What gorgeous flowers!! Some I have never seen in my life. My dad was a fireman so I loved all the fireman designs - just fantastic. The bench and chairs with the flower seat cushions and pillows - I want them!!! Thanks for sharing this fun play date. xo
This looks beautiful! What a fun outing!
