on top of my car.........quite late for this area frost is usually the first week of October.
It is also dark at 7:30 in the morning........... See how dark it is !
Another week before time change....... I want daylight saving going back to an earlier stop date....do not like dark mornings.........
I have left my planters at the front step but I am thinking for only 1 or 2 more weeks, until I can do a winter (dare I say the Christmas word) theme ?
front porch planter looking rather sad. |
dug out canna roots.......
No more early coffee on the patio!
Everything is looking rather bare!
Have you put your gardens to bed?

I feel for you having to deal with frost and all the work it causes in the garden. Just makes me appreciate that I have much less to deal with weatherwise in Cape Town. I must say that we have very mild winters here compared to yours. Good luck for the coming winter.

Rosemary, Happy Belated Birthday to you! I am so behind on reading blogs lately, and was so happy to see your beautiful daughters took you out on such a special birthday surprise weekend! 65? What's your secret? I'm 53 and look 102. You are gorgeous!
And, no, I'm still working on cleaning out the gardens, but no progress today, it's lightning and thundering out!
Rosemary, We've had a couple frosts but we still have some bloomers. I haven't cut anything back and I just started bringing in the garden art. Jean
Rosemary, You are way ahead of me. The frost here was light and so my roses are still soldiering on....
We got frost last night too!
Not ready for Jack Frost to visit here!
Not yet but working on it Rosemary. Looking forward to a break from the garden though to catch up on some inside projects. :)
We've just had some frost here, a little late also. Our average first frost is Oct 10. Haven't put everything to bed yet, but Hubbie is working on it.
