Here it is the 18th of October and this area has not had a frost yet. Usually by now a frost tho not a killing frost has made an appearance...... any date from Oct 6 to 10 is average for the first frosty night.

A few purple buddleia flowers still attracting butterflies.,
Betty Boop rose still showing some buds and blossoms
Japanese anemone flowering with some gone, some to come yet
Hydrangea showing late fall pink.
Geraniums , orange and bright always last until a hard frost..
Orange marigolds, the colour really suits this time of the year.

Boy, you have lots of blooms....so pretty.
The capture of the Geranium is my favorite.
My Zinnia is still blooming like crazy,, which reminds me I really ought to bring some of the plants indoors and TRY to winter them.

I have a daylily blooming today, too, doesn't that seem odd? But I'll take the flowers whenever and wherever they want to appear. We're still waiting for a killing frost too, but I should rephrase that, I'm not looking forward to it!
Hi Rosemary, You still have quite the selection of plants in flower. We had such a late spring that to some degree it is not all that surprising that we are enjoying a late fall. I am quite happy to have the weather stay this mild for another couple of weeks. There are still a few outdoor projects that I hope to get done.
