Here it is the  18th of October and this area has not had a frost yet.  Usually by now    a frost tho not a killing frost has made an appearance...... any date from Oct  6 to 10 is average for the  first frosty night.

gazania
yellow daylily
A few purple buddleia flowers still attracting  butterflies.,

Betty Boop  rose  still  showing some  buds and blossoms

Japanese anemone  flowering with    some gone, some to come yet

Hydrangea  showing late fall  pink.

Geraniums , orange and bright  always last until a hard frost..

Orange marigolds,   the colour really suits this time of the year.
We have sun this morning  but rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
Zinnas still   showing some wonderful colour as well
This rose colour is  a favourite....
Will  I have  this much colour next  week??  Will frost soon   take these last few  flowers ?

My Zinnia is still blooming like crazy,, which reminds me I really ought to bring some of the plants indoors and TRY to winter them.

Rosemary, Let's hope you can keep your garden bloomin' for a couple more weeks at least. Very pretty! Jean

I have a daylily blooming today, too, doesn't that seem odd? But I'll take the flowers whenever and wherever they want to appear. We're still waiting for a killing frost too, but I should rephrase that, I'm not looking forward to it!

Hi Rosemary, You still have quite the selection of plants in flower. We had such a late spring that to some degree it is not all that surprising that we are enjoying a late fall. I am quite happy to have the weather stay this mild for another couple of weeks. There are still a few outdoor projects that I hope to get done.
