Stratford Garden Festival

One of the garden club events  I have  planned this year is  a visit to the Stratford Garden Festival. Off we went this week.
What a lovely peek into the gardening season to come.

Lots of spring flowers,

water features,

many fresh flowers to buy,

 bulbs to buy,

touches of whimsy,

gardens to admire,

notice the train!
Speakers and presentations,

Only purchase I made  3 double fragrant  lilies and 1 Martagon lily for shade.....  restrained myself.. This small show with the touches of spring just might help me   get thru the rest of the winter.
Melt  snow melt!

Hi Rosemary,
I am so happy that you stopped by to have tea and cookies with me. I stopped by to visit you and found these wonderful flowers. They are so pretty I can almost smell them. Come back to see me soon!
Best Wishes,
Miz Helen

Everyone seems to be posting about their trips to their local garden shows, including me. Love the boots with the tulips!

Nothing like a garden show to get the garden blood flowing. A fun day.

They target garden shows perfectly don't they-just when you don't think you can stand to see one more snowflake, but not so early in spring that the gardening seems too far off to purchase anything. I think I would have been tempted by the lilies as well. I especially would like another Martagon lily.

Thanks for your nice comments about the Stratford Garden Festival. I work for The Lung Association and we organize and present the event. I think it was another awesome show. What did you think about the greenhouse garden with fresh veggies? Or the "garden" with scaffolding and fabric panels? Spring can't come soon enough!

Thanks for all the nice comments. DeeDee I Did like the greenhouse garden not so much the scaffolding and fabric. Would like to see more gardens that people actually could copy.
