Apple Caramel Cookies
Very cold , windy ,grey autumn day. Wonderful weather to spend the day baking.
Wanted to use some apples, cinnamon and skor bits .This is what I came up with using a tried and true basic cookie recipe with the additions of my choice.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups flour, all purpose
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup peeled medium chopped apple
1 small pkg. skor bits
Cream together butter and sugars.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
Gradually add flour mixture to creamed ingredients. Fold in skor bits and apple chunks.
Drop by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet , I recommend using parchment paper ,1 tray I used parchment one I did not .Bake at 375 for 10 - 12 minutes , watch carefully so they don't burn. Let cool for 3 -4 minutes to firm up then remove from pan.
These turned out to spread quite a bit but the flavour is great, a nice soft and chewy spiced cookie.

They are really good Mom! Thanks for sharing!
Good morning Rosemary what a totally yummy looking cookie! i am definitely going to try out that recipe for myself. I can't wait!! regarding your query about the spooktacular download kit hunny there is no tutorial as far as i know. I will ask Tracy and get back to you. But you can print them out on normal copier paper but the quality wont be too good. I personally using a graphic quality paper probably about 120gsm is better and matt. Just a word of warning, it does use alot of ink, so you may want to print just A5 sheets of papers for backgrounds. They are gorgeous papers though and well worth trying out. Have fun hunny hugs Linda.
It looks good, it combines a lot of my favorite things. :)
These were very moist and delicious! Great recipe & thanks for sharing the cookies, & the recipe Mom!
