Big Basil to little basil

My one little basil plant has grown into quite a monster .

Decided to make pesto... basil not so big now.

I used a very simple recipe ; basil 2 cups, 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 cloves garlic and 1/2 tsp. salt pureed. Poured into mini muffin tin that has been sprayed with Pam for easy release once frozen.
Will then bag in a freezer and
add Parmesan cheese and pine nuts when ready to use in what ever dish this winter.....

I had no idea you could do pesto like that. Thanks for telling us! I planted 2 Basil plants that are out of control. Now I have a good use for them.

Cher, when making pesto after freezing make sure to add Parmesan Cheese and toasted crushed pinenuts to round out the flavour.

Hmm, my comment from yesterday isn't here......this looks like a terrific way to keep basil.
