Green Thumb part # 2, Snow and Grandson's Snow Day

I just had to post these pictures of the snow storm Southwestern Ontario is receiving today. So much for any sign of green.
From the front porch!
This is the second storm in 2 days and we are expecting another on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
View up the street!

View from living room to back yard
The first storm was on Friday that was labelled Snowmaggedon tho I think today's weather is much worse because it is much windier.
The grandchildren can certainly plan on winter sports, tobogganing, skiing and skating , for sure this holiday school break.
My grandsons had a snow day on Friday and got busy decorating gingerbread boys and Party Shortbread.

Looking very intense.
Brock
Brayden
This is the back of daughter Sherry's home on Saturday, note the sun!
So can there be any doubt about a white Christmas in this part of the world.

What beautiful photos! Looks like your grandson's did a wonderful job of decorating those cookies. I can so relate to the snow thing. We had snow all day yesterday and it dropped down to below zero temps with dangerous wind chills today. Well, one good thing, at least it doesn't snow when it's this cold!!

I just have to say wow for the snow. I lived in Minnesota for quite a few years so I am not uniniated in the ways of it. That's why I live in the Southern US, we just see it every now and then. :)

Hi Rosemary - Ug on the snow! We are in the middle of a storm now, a foot expected - after the foot we received on Friday. Certainly a white Christmas here too!

Yes, lots of snow blowing around today!

Looks like Brock and Brayden made some good cookies!

This has got to be the whitest Christmas we have had in the 32 years we have lived here. It has snowed at least 10 inches in the past 24 hours in our West Seattle back yard. It is pretty but I am getting tired of all the bundling up to go out and the wet clothes and boots littering the entry way.
I'm ready for the puddles and umbrellas to return to my life.

WOW, now I understand why XMas cookies are so popular in the USA, you just can't do anything else when the snow storm hits ;-)
Take good care.
