Perhaps it is the bright yellow
Four sunflowers volunteered in my garden , from the black sunflower seed I fed the birds thru the winter...perhaps that brings the smile , free flowers!
What ever the reason that sunflowers bring a smile, this simple flower is a joy in the garden.

Hi Rosemary, I love the sunflower, it is so pretty. I've never grown any, but I think I should after seeing yours. I loved seeing your older posts of the summer garden and that Christmas card is so beautiful!
