The storm hit here on Friday.....
Where is here?
I am doing Gramma duty at daughter Sherry's new home set in the middle of a 10 acre forest.
Do my almost grown grandsons need that much care?
More chief cook and bottle washer, I am ; and to make sure no wild parties go on..other than the ones I throw...
Sherry and Rosanne and their hubbies are in Tahiti ; did they pick the right time to go!
First pictures, show Brayden snow plowing out the drive.. on Friday in the middle of the storm....a good 12 to 14 inches of snow.....
Playing with the ATV.
Saturday dawned bright and sunny. So pretty when the sun shines on the snow ..and from inside a warm home...
Still had to get out and take some photos........
From inside , some how the |
Shovel just waiting for use.
Bird bath frozen , see the optimistic bird tracks.....sorry birdies; no water, just lots of snow and ice....
Sherry's long and twisting driveway of her new home which her sister started to fondly call The Shire..the name has now stuck.... partly because the house sets on 10 acres of woods and partly after Sherwood Forest and for love of all things Hobbit .
Doesn't this little house and wood shed look like something out of the hobbit?
looks so pretty when not shovelling |

Rosemary, what great photos! We had about 9 inches here. It is supposed to be 50 degrees F tomorrow so hopefully it will melt. Your desserts look so good, but wait, why aren't you in sunny Florida this winter?? xo
Your winter photos are beautiful. Oh those boys are going to like having you around, making them all those treats. Go Grammy go!!!
Oh, you're definitely shoveling out! Just look at all the snow...wow. We had a nice snowfall a few days ago, but then this weekend it started raining and now we're back to an ice skating rink again.
I love the pictures of the trees and grasses and buildings. Winter has its own calm beauty and adorns 'the Shire' wonderfully!
What pretty photos!
Glad you could have such fun with your grandsons...and I'm sure they loved the baked goodies!
Oh, look at all that snow! But better yet, look at all that baking, yummy!
Beautiful!
Of course we're doing our annual yurt trips over the winter.
And of course you BAKED!!! :-)
