Back with flowers, cards and a new outlook......

Good Morning, it has been a while !

I am back from Florida,   safe and sound .

twilight  boat ride down the Weeki Wachee River on last day in Florida

Call it vacation let down but  just  could not seem to come up with anything  exciting to say on my blog...
Feeling been there done that..... Still I was missing Blog friends........
So I have decided to blog a bit differently,
I was feeling   pressure to blog yet lacking  inspiration  of new and interesting topics .Was finding  I was getting stressed trying to blog everyday........
I will not blog every day but hopefully every week with a mix of what is happening in the garden, in the kitchen, in  my  retired life.With this new outlook blogging will be the fun it once held.....

What I am reading (The Hunger Games series) loved the movie too,  some watercooler chat about TV ( love Phillip Phillips on American Idol), need to lose weight!
Yes, the garden is growing well but so  very early this spring ;
Tulips almost done flowering

Bleeding heart wind flowers;

Cheery pansies faces.

Have  gotten up close and personal with  black mulch  this spring  spreading  bags  and bags on the back garden. It is dry already not much snow over the winter and less rain than usual this spring...... hence the black mulch spread on the back gardens............Black mulch gets  into some  unmentionable places on ones person!no matter what clothes and gloves one wears!
Even the grass is suffering so extra top soil spread in hopes of helping..... fertilizer too. Yes these amendments find   creases and folds.......too!

Managed to find some creativity  for  card making........ here are 2 recently made........They fit the  Little Red Wagon challenge this week Use 3 flowers....

Dark blue    card base  white embossed face and framelits to cut border and  flower .

 Crumb cake, vanilla and pink designer paper   , embossed  , antiqued and framed...... makes a pretty Birthday card,,,

This is what I have been doing this week!

Thanks for stopping by...yes, my Claudia tulips are among my favorites.

Your Florida pics brought back sweet memories for me. I was there this past November and had an amazing time. One of my favorite spots was Thomas Edison's winter home in Ft. Meyers. The gardens there were amazing!

Glad to see you back Rosemary. Sometimes when I'm not feeling any inspiration for blogging I just give it up for a while. And then it seems to come back full force with so many things to say.
We've had 90 degree weather already this spring, but now we're being drenched with days of rain and cooler weather. Don't know what to expect next.

Welcome back from Florida! I know what you mean about putting pressure on yourself to blog regularly, and not knowing what to say, and I'm happy that you took the pressure off. Just blog when you feel like it.
I hope you are getting some of the rain we are having today, not sure what part of Ontario you are in.
Lovely cards! do you find yourself creating less when gardening season starts?
have a lovely day

Welcome home Rosemary! At least we have a nice early spring to greet your arrival back to Canada, eh! I sometimes get a little burned out with the blogging. It to pace yourself and take a break when necessary. The cards look great!
