Planting bulbs

It is  almost a tradition for me to plant a few new  bulbs every  fall.
Perhaps I need the  anticipation of  seeing  them blossom in the spring that helps me get thru the dark cold days of winter......
Is it me or does it seem winters are longer  and longer?
I have  planted snowdrops, silverbells,

Candy apple Delight tulips,

won't these be a bright accent in the garden ?

King Alfred Daffodils and more anemones........

But the ones I will be most watching for next spring are the 3 foxtail lilies .

Foxtail flowers

flowers to anticipate next  spring.

Do you have Autumn traditions   in the garden?

Great work. Lwt's hope it's not a winter as cold as last year.

I love the color of those tulips! And I think you'll love those foxtail lilies, I know we do. I also love planting spring bulbs. They're so refreshing come spring.

Oh, can't wait to see the foxtail too!

Rosemary, I have two bags of daffodils here to plant yet, too, and I have to get at it! Pretty soon the snow will be falling (any day) and I'm not half ready.

I loved your earlier posts about the cake inspired card (just gorgeous!) and the recipe for the cupcakes sounds just dreamy. I'm supposed to be losing weight, but oh, well.....life is short!

Hi Rosemary, I planted a few bulbs, but only a few. I intended to buy more, but as usual I have left it rather late and am now having trouble finding any bulbs left in stores. It doesn't pay to procrastinate!
