Strawberry Eton Mess

Recipes appeal to me sometimes because of an unusual  ingredient or a quirky name.Example the rhubarb jam I made with jello..
This is the  first   of the season's strawberries  - luscious aren't they?
Started to think  of new recipes been wanting to try.
So first up my version of Eton Mess. Eton Mess  just  what kind of a name is that?
Heck, if it is good enough to be made by the likes of Ina Garten and Jamie Oliver then it is good enough for me.
3 simple ingredients in a tall  glass ,which  makes it look so elegant . Can tell your  guests you  slaved  all day  in the kitchen, they will never know !

Fresh strawberries
Whipped 35% cream
Meringues,   broken up ( used Presidents  Choice meringue nests)

This dessert is so easy  and good it should be illegal! Bad name and all.

On the agenda next  Strawberry Pizza.....

I saw this in a mag recently. Ina Garten is always a hit with me.

oh my goodness, I shouldn't have looked to closely, lol! this looks decadent, I love strawberries and am happy the Ontario ones are starting to come in. I like to stock up and freeze them for my smoothies later on, since our season is so short.

now I'm going to be thinking of this dessert all night, lol!
