Bloomin Tuesday-Roses

Roses are just starting to bloom in my garden.

David Austin  Abraham Darby a lovely soft pink colour with amazing scent.

Lovely shaped bud then opens to a full  and frilly blossom.

Betty Boop  a bicolour loaded with buds,

Fully open .

Just Joey, a soft yellow apricot  with a strong sweet  perfume,  is struggling...
The edges of the rose just open are brown .

Here the buds show the same browning.

Not sure if it is the cool wet spring we have had causing this problem....
Already had to spray for black spot..
Still for all the work roses remain a favourite flower in the garden......

Lovely roses...Betty Boop does indeed remind me of Betty Boop! I also enjoyed the wedding photos in your last post.

Wow, your roses are so pretty. Our garden is really too shady for roses. They are never very happy so I've kind of given up on them.

The colors are beautiful! They are a lot of work though, unfortunately I gave up on them a couple years ago. It's nice to see everyone else's though:@)

Hi Rosemary...I just left a comment but my internet went out just as I commented. So delete this if it actually went through and this is a duplicate.

Love all your roses. I have some roses due to arrive any day now. I'll have to post on Bloomin' Tuesday when they are delivered.

I find all the plants tend to be suffering a little more this summer. The weather seems so unpredictable.

My Abraham Darby is blooming for the first time. Why did I think that rose was more peachy/orangy colored? It is just lovely though.
