Windflowers are putting a good show .
Scillas mixed with Icicle pansies are staying fresh looking..
Up close and personal with the delicate scilla flower....
This spring we are very lucky if we have one sunny day in 7.. rain rain and more rain . Temps are staying well below normal ... I would usually be planting by now so far the only thing in the ground is sweet peas and not a sign of them yet.... Could it possibly be too cold and damp for them?
Knowing this part of the country we will probably end up with no spring and move right into summer with temperatures soaring.
As gardener I am eternally optimistic.

That is an advantage to this weather, the blooms last longer.
Rosemary, the wind flowers and scilla are so beautiful. We are having the same type of weather here in Wisconsin, too. I've never seen it this cold and wet for so long and cloudy days, one after another. All gardeners are optimists, now that you mention it, we all take a chance on planting a seed and hope for the best. Here's to warmer days ahead!
It must be nice to have the spring bulbs lasting longer. Mine usually fade fast this time of the year. Those Windflowers are pretty! :)
What's bloomin' is very colorful, at least. I'm trying to stay optomistic too but we have rain forecast all week. Once the sun comes out we will be able to see the plants (and grass) grow! Jean
Beautiful flowers! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I fear your weather prediction is probably correct. Great flower shots.
I love your pretty scillas, it's a wonderful spring.
Hi Rosemary,
Your windflowers and little scilla are looking very pretty.I am hoping we will have a few days of sun to make up for the endless rain and cold. I plan to spend the whole afternoon in the garden. You can be sure I will be sore and tired by nightfall! Have a great weekend!
