Gone fishing

Beautiful summer day on Thursday , temperatures 23C. sunny and warm. DH wanted to go fishing on Long Point Bay so I packed a lunch, drinks ,suntan lotion and a good book for me.......off we went.
Put the boat in at Old Cut Marina.

Heading out the channel, swells 2 feet very gentle.

Marker where all the fish are!

Counted 46 boats in this one area trying to catch bass. 70 feet deep at this point.

Spent 3 and a half hours on the bay, was such a nice day could have fallen asleep with the soft rocking.

Seagull on marker, they are everywhere.

Heading back in .
Welcoming trio back at the marina....

Fish ,how many did DH catch?
NOT ONE !

What an idyllic place, Rosemary! I love those buildings along the marina. Your photos really give a feeling of being there. Now I'll be looking for a portal too!

I love to go fishing! Sometimes I get the urge to toss a line in. Usually when the boys find that there is a lot of activity or if the water is nice and calm. But what I really like is just being on the boat and relaxing! It always makes for a pleasant day either way!

You must have had a great time! I was a beautiful day, wasn't it? Did you try fishing at all? (Perhaps not, as it might have made DH feel bad!) ;-) Thanks for sharing your photos. Have a great weekend!
