Sour Cream Potato Soup

With a major winter storm threatening decided to make some soup in case the power goes out.The forecasters are calling this coming storm snowmaggedon. I am skeptical but will be prepared.
This soup is rich, thick and filling.
Very fast and easy to make.
Sour Cream Potato Soup
3 cups potatoes , peeled
1/2 cup onion
3 cups water
2 cups scalded milk
1 cup sour cream
1 TBSP. flour
2 chicken bouillon cubes
3 TBSP. butter
Cook potatoes and onion in water. Do not drain!

Puree in blender.
Add milk , butter, bouillon cubes, Salt and pepper to taste.
Mix sour cream with flour until smooth.
Cook soup until thick, stir constantly.
Makes 6 servings.

Oh, I think the girls will like this one! May have to make it this weekend! Or maybe the potato cheese chowder, hmmmmm.......

This looks so good. Great winter meal. I think I will make this when I go up north next week... :)
