Pillows

Since moving into this new home I have been struggling to decide on my colour decor.
I knew I needed to update the colour palette from a dated floral look but how to do it without losing many of the treasured items I have collected over the years.
Because the home is smallish it needed to have the colour scheme work throughout the home to keep the feeling spacious.
I had chosen browns and cream with accents of black but felt it needed a punch of colour.
Managed to utilize many of the pieces from our other home but some how it wasn't feeling warm , lacked personality.Needed something............
Love the French country look......
Seen a lot of chocolate and blue, chocolate and reds, some just monochromatic. Nothing excited me, sparked my creativity, gave me a direction.
I love home shows, watching lots of HGTV, Steven and Chris, Cityline.
Not sure which one of these shows inspired me , on one of them they were showing a green with the brown.
Eureka! Green is my favourite colour .
Would it work ? What shade? Could I find what I was looking for?
I went shopping on Monday , just window shopping and there at The Bay while strolling though the housewares department there on a shelf, pillows, lots of pillows.
They were the right shade, green with a slight yellow touch , not fluorescent. Here are the 3 I picked;
The touch of floral motif on the one pillow ties into my blinds on the windows,the striped one has all the colours of the house combined in one, the last pillow is a lovely luxury look crinkled look.

With this new accent colour I feel like a have direction to go forward to bring the touch of French Country into my home.............

The pillows are lovely and will certainly add color. I loved your blinds when I saw them and the floral pillow is perfect with them. Don't you love it when a plan comes together? Jean

Beautiful pillows! Do you like color on your walls? I painted my walls a soothing shade of light green last winter and I love it!! (Would go very nicely with your green pillows and contrast with your white sofa!) :-) (FYI: Martin Seynour Paints "Marjoram")

When we moved into our new house we had the builder paint over the rust orange kitchen with a moss green color. The rest of the walls in the house are shades of brown. Being a nature and garden lover, it feels like a natural combination. Congratulations on your selection!
