Ground Hog Day Feb. 2nd

Feb. 2nd is Ground Hog Day and legend had it, if the rodent sees his shadow 6 more weeks of winter. Wiarton Willie , our local white groundhog, did not see his shadow so spring is just around the corner!
If the temperature the next couple of days are true Highs of 10 C. on Tuesday then he is right. I have my fingers crossed.
Besides the foretelling of spring, Feb 2nd is another momentous day.
It is our wedding anniversary.
45 YEARS!
Oh my where did the time go?
I had to work on Saturday but came home to 2 beautiful floral arrangements.
One from our daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren

So unusual made at the Flower Fountain , by Rosanne's friend Nancy, it is very large.

It contained beautiful cream and peach roses, orange gerberas, bright green bells of ireland, purple
kale, black thistle, florescent green button mums with a dark green juniper like filler I have never seen before.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Then another nice surprise, a beautiful arrangement from Mom and Lorne from a favourite floral shop in Dorchester , Sherry's friend runs that shop.

It is full of spring flowers, blue iris, purple tulips, fushia gerberas, yellow and orange astrormerias, Mauve heather, peach carnations and white mums.

One arrangement is decorating the dining room table and the other providing enjoyment in the family room.
Love them both , nice to have these beautiful flowers to remind me of a special day.

Happy Anniversary!!! The bouquets are gorgeous.
Our wedding anniversary was yesterday, but only 16 years for us.
